Fall has arrived! The change of our season was a focus of our learning this week, this included: reading comprehension, and the introduction of new vocabulary.
The LEAD class continued to work on our multiplication facts this week in Math. We also now have a labelled life sized human body in our classroom, and will continue looking at the brain in Science next week.
Our class explored something called, box breathing with Navy Seals as a means to feel calm and help us with our learning. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GZzhk9jEkkI
Today was our Terry Fox run, and we were joined by the two high schools on our block, Forest Lawn and Jack James. Prior to the event we watched a few videos about Terry, and spent a significant time discussing who he was and why he set out to run across Canada over 30 years ago.
